Women's Bureau: Advancing Equity in Infrastructure-Funded Jobs

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau cordially invites all to attend a discussion on equity as new jobs are created to ensure that women and workers in underserved communities benefit from these jobs. The Bi-Partisan Infrastructure Law, Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors and Science Act of 2022 (CHIPS Act) and Inflation Reduction Act provide unprecedented funding for infrastructure improvements.

The program includes an overview of the funding opportunities and dire need to maintain equity in focus to benefit workers most impacted by the pandemic. We will hold a panel discussion with federal representatives and a community panel to discuss local resources and initiatives benefiting local workers, as well as opportunity for tradeswomen to network with potential contractors and businesses. There is no cost to participate in the event!
