The results are in!

We are excited to recognize our three 2023 Warriors of Distinction awardees. Congratulations to Teena Chopra, M.D., Nicole Gerring, Ph.D., and Liza Henchy.

Last October, the career development committee within the Wayne State University President's Commission on the Status of Women opened up nominations for an alum, employee and student respresentative of the university whose work broadly encompassed Wayne State's pursuit of cultural enrichment, global impact and research excellence. On January 18, COSW held a ceremony to celebrate the 2023 WODA winners. President Kimberly Andrews Espy, Ph.D., attended the celebration and gave remarks about the awards, which recognize members of the campus community who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to women, diversity, equity and inclusion. 

We thank these exemplary Warriors for their service and contribution to Wayne State's rich culture of support, innovation and excellence!
