COSW Chair Eldonna May was recently honored during the Robert Oswald Cork Scholarship Awards ceremony. The event is sponsored annually by Student Disability Services.

May was recognized for her efforts to support students with disabilities. The committee presented her with the Extra Mile Award and lauded her "understanding, patience, and excellence in teaching, which has resulted in academic success for many of [its] students."

Student Disability Services gives deserving students with disabilities scholarships based on their academic achievement and persistence in working towards their goals. The success of SDS-registered students depends on the efforts of supportive faculty and staff such as Eldonna May.
