President's Commission on the Status of Women Committees

The Gender and Equity Committee addresses issues related to the current status of gender and equity in the campus community. 

The Career Development Committee concerns itself with developing and presenting programs that enhance women's career advancement.  It currently sponsors a series of Brown Bag Luncheons that address the concerns of women in the workplace.

The Health Sciences Committee provides education and support pertaining to physical and mental health issues affecting women both within the campus community and beyond.

The Research Committee examines women’s standing in the university community and provides informational support for issues of concern. Its activities include research gathering and analysis in support of Commission programming, partnerships, and advocacy as well as disseminating information on women's issues to the campus community.

The Social Justice Committee brings the Commission's work to the wider campus through programming and the website.   Its projects include campus-wide presentations, sponsorship of presentations by scholars on issues of concern to women, and coordination of events featuring women leaders external to the University.
